【摘要】:GabionsandRevetMattresses,asdescribedinSpecificationA975,areusedtoachievesoilstabilityandpreventsoilerosionandarealsousedasretainingwallstructurestoresistmovementsduetogravity.Theirabilitytofunctionproperlydependsoncorrectdesignandinstallation.Thisstandardpracticedescribestheproperinstallationofgabionsandrevetmattressestoensuretheproductsfunctionasintendedbythemanufacturers.Thispracticeoffersasetofinstructionsforperformingoneormorespecificoperationsanddoesnotreplaceprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthispracticemaybeapplicableinallsituations.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationofaproject''smanyuniqueaspects.1.1Thisspecificationcoversstandardpracticeforassembly,placementandfillingofdouble-twistedwiremeshgabionsandrevetmattressesusedforvariouserosioncontrol,soilretentionorfreestandingstructures.Theproductsize,typeandalignmentmustbedeterminedbytheuser.GabionsandRevetMattressesshallbeinstalledinaccordancewithprojectplansandspecificationswhenavailable.1.2ThisstandardisexpressedinSI(metric)units.American(inch-pound)unitsareprovidedinparenthesisforinformationpurposes.1.3Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
